The world's largest amateur field hockey event, USA Field Hockey's National Hockey Festival traditionally attracts more than 3,500 athletes from across the United States, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean competing for titles in men's and women's divisions including women's age group (Under 16 and Under 19), boy's age group (U16, U19), women's open, men's open, sectional, masters (women 35+), veterans (men 30+) and mixed.

2008 Team Banquet

Thursday night November 20, 2008.
Time: 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:30.
Location: Radisson Hotel Rancho Bernardo

Cost: $25 per person. No cost for the player.

Team 2008-09 Parent Meeting

The parent meeting for the 2008-09 season is on Thursday August 28th, 2008 at 5:30PM in room K-1 at Poway High. Room K-1 is located east of the GYM, south of the football field, around to the right and behind the main administrative offices. The meeting will cover (this information is also available in the Parent Meeting Flyer):
  • Coaches introduction, program and season information.
  • Registration. Fees for the season are $325. Fees can be paid in one check or 2 payments 6 weeks apart. Please write 2 checks the night of the meeting, and the second one will be deposited in 6 weeks.
  • Uniform Distribution. A $100 refundable deposit is required. Your check will not be cashed and will be returned at the end of the season when the uniform is returned.
  • Spiritwear orders will be taken, and samples available for viewing.

Practice and Tryouts for the 2008-09 team begin August 13, 2008.

July 14-16, 2008. This camp takes place at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. For complete details get the registration form.

2008 Cal Cup Tournament

This year's Cal Cup Tournament takes place over Memorial Day weekend, May 23-26, 2008. Poway fields both U19 and U16 teams. This year's U19 team will compete against 37 other teams from California and Canada. The U16 girls have competition from 22 other teams including teams from Arizona, Kentucky, Canada and The Dominican Republic. Details here.

Golf Tournament Fundraiser

The 2nd Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser takes place on May 12, 2008 at StoneRidge Country Club. The tournament includes a scramble format day on the links, a banquet and silent auction.
